Father Fotis Lauriotis, a contradictory point

The equivalent new book of father Themistoklis Christodoulou has eventually come out the last day of 2010 – a fact that seals, not accidentally, the passing year with a most touching remembrance : the departure of a pure child of God, of dear father Fotis Lauriotis, to meet the Eternal Lifegiver.

He was an ascetic figure that lived in these modern days, in the island of Lesvos. Father Fotis was surely a worthy example of the life of the saints that we read only in legendaries. He acted fool for the sake of Christ. The reading of the book offers moments of both laughter and sorrow. In the beginning he served as a monk in Mount Athos. He remained true to his faith and his principles as a monk, despite the fact that he was a wanderer for the love of our Christ for most of his life.
